Inhale, Exhale, Repeat ~ Route 16 Mental well-being doesn’t always required a physician or a prescription. Sometimes all it may take is the open road. Inclined to make an itinerary? Don’t. Just have a vague idea of where you want to go and the direction you should travel to get there. Make a pit stop at a coffee shop, bakery, pub, or whatever that is local to the area. Keep your phone in the car or in your pocket; talk to people. You don’t have to engage in heavy conversation, you could just say hello. If you see an interesting trail and think, “I wonder what’s down there,” stop the damn car and find out. You don’t need to reach your intended destination; sometimes your destination is your journey.
